Dave has been coaching skiing for 9 years, and is currently in his 6th for the Squaw Big Mountain Team. His passion for skiing began in Vermont where he grew up riding Bolton Valley, Smuggler's Notch, and Jay Peak. Despite being a ski-racer through high school, he was always drawn to the cliffs and glades and began competing in big mountain events a few years later. He is studying entrepreneurship at Sierra Nevada College where he is also the co-founder/president of the SNC Freeride Club. Dave is drawn to skiing "because it provides an unmatched source of excitement and self-discovery." He chose to intern for the TJFS because "I want to have a lasting, positive effect on the sport I love. TJFS is an incredible opportunity to learn valuable new aspects of the sport from the people who do it best." |
Chris volunteers for TJFS by taking professional photos of the athletes competing in local and national competitions. His love for the mountains, snowboarding and spending time with his family has drawn him to photograph the athletes and the ski/snowboard culture. He hopes to influence TJFS through his photos capturing the fun, excitement, and beauty of the sport. |
Trina volunteers for TJFS by providing video posts for marketing purposes through her company Big Water Studios. She first starting filming her two kids but as her business grew, she received such positive feedback from the kids that she began to focus on filming for all competitors in the TJFS. When Trina is not on the mountain filming or skiing, she enjoys biking, paddle boarding, and anything else outdoors. |
